Who is responsible for Corruption - Only the Government?

Corruption - the most talked about topic nowadays. Yes, talked about only.

Let me give you an example.

Despite all the buzz created around Satyamev Jayte, and all due respect to it; I would rate "Crime Patrol" much higher than it.

There are two ways to somehow moderate corruption. Yes "moderate", not "eradicate". If you thought, you could eradicate corruption, you are fooling yourself. It's in our blood now - day to day life.

Ohh...Sorry, I was talking about the two ways to moderate corruption:

1. Through enforcing laws and regulations
2. Through intensifying our long dead morale and courage

Though Satyamev Jayte is definitely a good concept, but sadly it falls in the first category. And we all though don't want to accept it, but very well know that - if and if corruption needs to be eradicated completely, it has to be done through Step 2.

What is the cause?

Simple - Till the time there is 'Demand'...'Supply' will never die

What is the solution now?

Electing a good leader would not remove corruption as a whole because they can show us the right path and in a big country which have its own huge and special problems, we cannot leave it on the leaders to reach every individual and keep a watch on the measures taken to remove the termite called‘ Corruption' from the Country.

A country and its responsibilities do not only fall on the shoulders of the political leaders of that country because the country not only belongs to them but it is also a responsibility of all of us. We should not only blame one person or a body of people but should understand that if the corruption has become a part of higher level and a country is getting effected – its present future, everything is in danger, then they are not solely responsible for all these. If we want to remove the corruption from its root, we need to first remove corruption lying in our day to day life and within us. It is not possible for a single person to remove corruption.

"Akela chana bhaad nahi phodta", but yes "agar akele chane k sath 1000 chane mil jayen to paththar bhi tod sakte hain"

Removing corruption has become so difficult because we all have adopted this as a habit in our daily life. For some reasons or the other, we adopt this method to achieve our desires, dream and also to get rid of problems through a shortcut.

1. When caught in a traffic jam and and we are asked to show our driving license, we prefer most of the time to bribe the traffic officer or get rid of spending more time in arguing or settling up with him.

2. When we require to get some work done and we know that there is a difficulty in it or it will take time, we prefer bribing such person(s) to get our work done very easily, and take pride in saving that precious time as well as discussing it within our circle.

3.We even in the name of donation do not stop bribing schools and some of them also entertain this practice in the name of donation when its time for admissions of our children.

Sadly, what Anna failed to understand is that the same people who are supporting him with all their false eagerness are the one, who if given a chance will not shy away from being a part of the corruption itself. As long as we are dead like that, as long as we think "jab khud pe ayegi to dekhenge", as long as we don't change at least our basic habits; its safe to say CORRUPTION WILL REMAIN FOREVER.
